dear anonymous.......

I have been gone from bloggy world. Like you hadn't noticed....... :0) OH, I could give you a whole plethora of excuses, but I won't even go there! Give me a break, I'm homeschooling!

Upon logging in again, I saw I had a comment from 'Anonymous'. I'd like to address that comment (briefly) and will attempt to do so. Before I say anything though, I want to be very clear that this is written without sarcasm, cynicism, etc--just love, just me, just sharing my heart. Are we clear there? Ok, good!

Here goes......

The comment: Let your adorning be inward, dear sister.

First off, anonymity is a turn-off. Here at "simply--be" I'm all about being real, about not faking or hiding behind a facade. ANY comment, here or elsewhere, hiding behind the face of "Anonymous", loses almost 99% of its credibility (especially criticism).

PLEASE, if you have an issue with me (or anyone for that matter) and truly care enough about me to call me 'dear sister', there is no need to be anonymous. My policy?--If you can't say it face to face, don't type it.

Second, this is obviously Scripture-based out of 1 Peter 3, calling for adorning the heart with a quiet and gentle spirit, rather than outward adorning. I'm not perfect, nor do I pretend that I am. Do I always have a quiet, gentle spirit? No. So in that way, this comment is well taken. My Jesus and I, we're still working together on taming my spirit! However, I sense that it wasn't my 'spirit' that this was directed to, but more towards the 'outward'.

I could, but won't, give you plenty of Scriptures that deal with judging one another. I'm sure you already know them! Having been redeemed from a background where judging by outward appearances (see this post) was the norm, I strive to know a person's heart and reasons for doing something before judging. Do I always? No, but I try. Could you extend the same love and grace to me?

So, dear Anonymous, I look forward to talking to you, the real you! If you know my phone #, call me up! (I really would love to talk to you about your heart behind the comment--privately, not in blog world :0))

This is in no way meant to 'beat anyone over the head' for commenting as 'A', just as a way to say.....be real, be transparent, SIMPLY BE!
